Dip a clean, lint-free cloth into the bucket's cleaning solution. Place the cloth against the window and wash in an up-and-down direction on one side of the window and a back-and-forth direction on the other side. This allows you to see which side needs more cleaning, if any dirt or stains are still present. - 4). Scrub each window with the cleaning solution. Rinse your cleaning cloth frequently with clean water, then re-soak it in the cleaning solution as you continue to clean your windows. The rubbing alcohol in the mixture helps prevent streaking when the windows dry.
- 5). Dry your windows with a chamois immediately after washing each window. Move the chamois over the window in the same direction as you washed. Squeeze the chamois out when it gets excessively wet, but allow it to remain a little damp to most effectively dry your windows.
