How to Repair Yellowing of Plastic

    • 1). Remove any parts that are attached to the plastic. Any spaces on the plastic that are treated will not get the yellow removed.

    • 2). Put on protective gloves, a face mask, goggles and wear full coverage clothing. You need to dress to avoid peroxide touching any part of your body.

    • 3). Place the plastic into a container and pour the peroxide on top of it. Fill the container until the plastic is completely covered.

    • 4). Leave the plastic soaking in the peroxide for several days. The number of days you need to leave the plastic depends on how far the yellowing has developed.

    • 5). Check the plastic every six hours to determine if the color has been repaired yet. Don't leave the plastic for longer than four days even if the original color hasn't returned.

    • 6). Remove the plastic from the peroxide and wash it off thoroughly with clean water. Make sure every trace of the peroxide is washed away before touching it with your bare hands.
