- 1). Apply hand dishwashing detergent and water to a non-abrasive cloth. Avoid using abrasive powders or pads on your glass cook top, as the glass surface is easily scratched.
- 2). Wipe the cook top with the cloth to remove food stains and hard water spots. Rinse the grime out of the cloth with water.
- 3). Apply more hand dishwashing detergent to the cloth. Lay the cloth over the remaining stains and spots on the cook top.
- 4). Keep the cloth on the cook top for 30 minutes to soften the grime. Scrub off any remaining spots with the cloth.
- 5). Dampen another non-abrasive cloth with water. Wipe the cloth over the cook top to rinse off the detergent.
- 6). Dry the glass cook top surface with a soft towel. Inspect the glass surface for remaining spots, and repeat the steps if spots remain.
