How to Clean the Floor With a Shark Steam Broom

    • 1). Assemble the Shark steam broom according to your instruction manual. Set aside the extra parts, including the microfiber pad, filling flask and funnel.

    • 2). Use a regular kitchen broom and dustpan to clear the floor of all surface dirt.

    • 3). Place the included microfiber pad on the bottom of your Shark steam broom, securing it tightly in place.

    • 4). Fill the water reservoir. Load the filling flask with tap or distilled water. Unscrew the cap from the water reservoir in your Shark steam mop. Place the funnel in the opening and carefully empty the filling flask into the water reservoir. Check to ensure that it does not pass the "fill" line. Replace the water reservoir cap.

    • 5). Plug in your Shark steam broom, ensuring that the green "on" light is visible.

    • 6). Wait about 30 seconds for the water to heat and steam to begin generating. You may need to pump the handle several times until steam begins to release from your Shark steam broom.

    • 7). Moisten the microfiber cleaning pad by pumping the handle several times after steam is being generated.

    • 8). Push the Shark steam broom across your hard floor surface, paying close attention to heavily soiled areas. Applying pressure to the mop handle releases steam and helps to break up dirt and stuck-on substances.

    • 9). Dry and buff the floor with a towel if a wet or sticky residue remains.

Remove soiled microfiber cleaning pad after each use, storing the Shark steam broom without it. The microfiber pad should be machine washed after each use.
