- 1). Open your refrigerator and wipe down the seal with a dry cloth to knock off excess dirt, food crumbs and other gunk that may be on the seal. Use a clean, stiff paintbrush, if desired, to get any loose crumbs out of the cracks around the seal.
- 2). Dilute ¼ cup of Murphy Oil Soap into a gallon of hot water. Start at the top of the door and wash down the seal with your soap solution and a clean cloth. Rinse the cloth as often as needed in your soap solution.
- 3). Wash the seal of the door along the top, followed by working to clean down the side and then along the bottom. Use a Q-tip dipped in your soap solution, if needed, to work portions of the seal that have small crevices.
- 4). Wipe down the cleaned seal of the fridge with a dish towel to dry it and remove any remaining soap solution. Repeat the steps to clean the seal of your fridge every few months to keep your seal in working condition.
