- 1). Pour enough Congoleum Bright 'N Easy No-Rinse cleaner directly onto the stain to cover it. Use a sponge to wipe up the stain.
- 2). Combine one part liquid bleach and 10 parts water into a bucket. Saturate a sponge with the mixture and wring it out. Wipe the stain with a back-and-forth motion until the stain is gone. Rinse the area well. These methods are effective on many stains, such as food dyes, fruit juices, grass, rust, urine and vomit.
- 3). Pour a few drops of rubbing alcohol onto a sponge. Wipe the stained area with the sponge until it is gone. Rinse the sponge well with water and wipe over the area to remove any remaining rubbing alcohol residue.
- 4). Run some warm water into a mop bucket and add a squirt of mild dishwashing liquid to it. Mop the stained area and rinse well with clean water.
- 1). Peel off any substances that you can, such as nail polish, oil or latex paint or candle wax if possible. Do not use sharp objects that may scratch the floor when peeling off the material.
- 2). Pour a few drops of mineral spirits or paint thinner onto your sponge or cleaning cloth to remove wood stains, varnish or solvents. Rub the area well with the solution until the stain lifts. Use a damp sponge to wipe up any remaining residue from the minerals spirits or paint thinner.
