How to Clean Up Antifreeze

    • 1). Pour a thick coating of cat litter over the antifreeze spill, covering the area with about a 2-inch thick layer of litter. The litter quickly absorbs the antifreeze, pulling it out of the surface and into the litter.

    • 2). Let the litter sit for 30 minutes.

    • 3). Collect the litter with a handful of paper towels and place the litter in a trash bag.

    • 4). Wipe up any leftover antifreeze with paper towels, throw away the paper towels and tie the trash bag closed. Discard the trash bag so no pets or children can get into the bag of trash.
