Cleaning Cotton-, Canvas- or Polyester-covered Poly Bead Pillows

    • 1). Vacuum the bag, if necessary. Vacuuming is the best method of removing pet hair, sand, crumbs and loose soil from fabric.

    • 2). Remove the fabric cover, if possible. Use laundry detergent and a washing machine to wash the cover in a gentle cycle. Dry it on a cool setting or air dry to avoid shrinkage.

    • 3). Wash spots off of nonremovable fabric covers with liquid detergent, warm water and a clean cloth. Be careful not to soak the fabric so that it does not take too long to air dry.

    • 4). Remove any difficult spots with a stain stick or spray stain-remover and toothbrush.

    • 5). Dry the pillow using a clean cloth. You may also use a hair dryer on a cool setting.
