Owning a hot tub can be very exciting, and a great addition to any home.
A hot tub provides a place for the family to spend some time together, while being able to relax and enjoy each other's company at the same time.

True there are several chemicals that come into play when trying to balance the water in a hot tub, however it is just like learning how to write a bike.

Daily hot tub maintenance is critical in keeping your water safe for you and your family to use.
Some of the levels that you have to keep a constant watch over are, your chlorine and Ph levels.
For the most part if these two levels are in balance, your hot tub will be safe for you to use.
The chlorine is the most important cleaning, or sanitizing agent that you will use for your hot tubs sanitation.
However, there is an alternate to using chlorine in your hot tub.
This alternate is known as Bromine.
Bromine can be added to your hot tub in the form of nuggets, granules, or tablets.
Many of the newer hot tubs come with a bromine dispenser.
This dispenser allows you to dispense the correct amount of bromine into your hot tub for up to a two-month period.
This dispenser cuts down quite a bit on the amount of hot tub maintenance that you have to do on a regular basis.
There are a few other chemicals that can be added to your hot tub once a week that will help keep your water clean and clear.
The last thing you want is to have cloudy or dirty water.
Once a week you can add a chemical called scum out which is a cleaning agent.
Once a week you can also add a chemical called spa bright, spa bright helps keep your water looking extremely clear and works quite well at doing so.
There is also a chemical that helps remove excess foam from the top of your water.
This chemical will come in a spray bottle and you simply spray it directly to foam bubbles that you see, making them disappear almost instantly.
Last but not least, keeping your hot tubs filter clean is a very important method to help in keeping your water clear, clean and safe.
Depending on how often you use your hot tub, your filter should be cleaned on average once a month.
There is a special quick filter rinse cleaning agent, that will keep your hot tub filter looking brand-new for up to one year.
It is a good idea to completely replace your hot to filter yearly.
These are just a few tips on how to keep your hot tub looking clean, clear and safe for you and your family to use on a daily basis.
If your eyes burn, your nose burns, or if the water is just too hot, chances are there is something wrong with the levels in your hot tub.
This is a good time to get out check your levels, fix the problem, give your hot tub little bit of time and then jump right back in.
