- 1). Open the pool liner. Spread out the liner and allow it to sit in the sun for about 30 minutes. This will loosen up the liner and make it easier to work with. Make sure there are no sticks or sharp rocks at the bottom of the pool.
- 2). Place the liner inside the pool. Make sure the curved seam sits at the edge of the pool. Other seams should crisscross the pool floor. Lift the sides of the liner and drape them over the pool. For a 48-inch-high pool, 6 inches should hang over the outside edge. For a 52-inch-high pool, 2 inches should hang over the outside edge.
- 3). Attach the plastic coping over the liner edge, securing it in place. Cut any extra coping with a sharp knife. Do not cut the liner.
- 4). Fold the edges of any excess liner up near the plastic coping and tape in place with waterproof tape. Fill the pool with water and work out additional wrinkles as the pool fills.
- 1). Follow Step 1 of the overlap liner installation instructions. Find out if you have a v-bead or hang-bead liner. The installation instructions are slightly different for each model.
- 2). Place the liner in the pool and hook the liner bead into the liner retainer wall on the top of the pool wall if you have a hang-bead liner. Make sure the liner clicks into place.
- 3). Pull the sides of the liner up to the pool wall and remove the slotted tubing connectors from the top of the wall two at a time if you have a v-bead liner.
- 4). Attach the liner edge to the connectors under the tubing. Snap the tubing back in place over the liner. Repeat for the circumference of the pool, two sections at a time. When the liner is installed, fill the pool with water and smooth out any remaining wrinkles.
