How to Change a Hoover Wind Tunnel Sweeper Belt

    • 1). Lower the Wind Tunnel handle and turn the vacuum over. Remove the four screws on the bottom of the plate and set them in a safe location.

    • 2). Remove the bottom plate and take note of the position of the belt over the agitator roll. Lift out the brush roll and the belt. Throw out the old belt.

    • 3). Locate the lettering on the new belt and position it so the letters face you. Create a loop with the belt and position it over the motor pulley on the left side of the vacuum, facing you.

    • 4). Slide the agitator brush roll through the belt loop and place the belt through the indents on the brush roll.

    • 5). Slide one end of the agitator brush roll into position inside the vacuum, then push the other end into position. Roll it slightly with your fingers to make sure the belt is not caught inside the unit.

    • 6). Set the bottom plate back on the vacuum and fasten the four screws into place.
