- 1). Cut a 12-inch length of beading wire. Lay the wire out on a ruler and find the middle of it. This is where your first bead goes and you continue to add beads to both ends of the wire.
- 2). Thread on one 12 mm focal bead. This is the middle bead for your bracelet and it should be slightly bigger than the other two beads that go on each side of it.
- 3). Thread on one 8 mm metal bead, one 10 mm accent bead, one 8 mm metal bead and one 5 mm metal bead on each side of the focal bead. The accent bead is a smaller version of your focal bead, but you can use contrasting colors if you like. To help keep the beads on one end while you string beads on the other end, use a bead stop at the end of your wire.
- 4). Add a noodle on each end of the wire. Slide the noodles against the other beads.
- 5). Thread on one 5 mm metal bead, one 8 mm metal bead, one 5 mm metal bead and one crimp bead on each end of the bracelet. To keep the beads in place, attach a bead stop at the end of the wire on one end of the bracelet.
- 6). Thread on one of the clasp ends. A clasp comes in two pieces. One is the hook and the other is the ring it hooks into.
- 7). Push the end of your wire back through the crimp bead and one or two of the metal beads. Take a pair of needle-nosed pliers and squeeze the crimp bead to crimp. Pull on the wire. If the wire slips under the crimp bead, squeeze the crimp bead again so the wire is caught tight. Cut the wire off so it is hidden in the metal beads.
- 8). Repeat Step 6 and 7 with the other clasp. When you push the wire back through the crimp beads and two metal beads, pull on the wire with your pliers to make the wire taut, but not too much or your bracelet will be too stiff. Cut the end of the wire off close.
- 9). Place a crimp bead cover over the crimp bead and squeeze to close the cover with your pliers. Cover the crimp bead on the other side in the same manner. Do not squeeze the crimp bead cover too tight, or you will ruin the round shape of the bead.
