How to Kill Lacebugs

    • 1). Kill the bugs by smashing them between your fingers. If you only see one or two bugs, killing with your hands while wearing gardening gloves is a quick fix for plants with little or no damage.

    • 2). Spray the bugs with a steady stream of water to dislodge them from the plants. It may take multiple attempts, but a strong water stream can knock them off your plants.

    • 3). Kill the bugs with insecticide. Most brands of insecticides in your local home and garden center kill the lace bugs.

    • 4). Apply horticultural oil or insecticidal soaps to your garden. These are both effective products to use against lace bugs, and are relatively safe for humans and pets due to a low toxicity level.
