How to Freeze Tommy Toe Tomatoes

    • 1). Sort through your Tommy Toe tomatoes. Discard any tomatoes that are spoiled, mushy moldy or otherwise unsavory. Set aside any tomatoes that are not firm or perfectly ripe for fresh eating. Only the firmest, freshest Tommy Toes should be used for freezing.

    • 2). Pull off any attached stems or leaves.

    • 3). Place the Tommy Toes in a colander. Run water over them and rub them clean with your hands. Do not submerge them in water. The dirty water can be absorbed through their stem scars. Rub the Tommy Toe's dry with a paper towel.

    • 4). Spread the tomatoes out on a baking tray.

    • 5). Place the tray in the freezer and leave it overnight.

    • 6). Place the frozen tomatoes in a freezer bag (if you have vacuum seal bags, those are ideal), seal it and place it in the freezer.
