How to Make a Miniature Diaper Bassinet

    • 1). Select a piece of cardboard to serve as the base of the diaper bassinet. Cut the item with a pair of scissors into a rectangle. Make the cardboard the desired size of the bassinet, which should be at least 10-by-14 inches. The larger the cardboard, the larger the bassinet will be.

    • 2). Place a diaper on a flat surface. Roll the item onto itself, moving from the top opening of the diaper down to the crotch. Place a rubber band around the outside of the diaper, in the middle. Wrap the rubber band in place so that it securely holds the diaper roll but does not make the diaper bow on the sides. Repeat the process with at least 59 more diapers.

    • 3). Adhere one piece of double-sided tape to the circular bottom of a rolled diaper. Place the diaper, tape-side-down, standing up in the corner of the cardboard, about 1 inch away from either edge. Place a piece of tape on the bottom of another rolled diaper, as well as one on the side of the roll. Put the second diaper standing up next to the original diaper, moving along the top perimeter of the cardboard. Attach the diapers together with the tape. Continue placing rolled diapers side-by-side until the cardboard is lined with a perimeter of diapers.

    • 4). Build another rectangle of standing diapers on the cardboard. Place the diapers on the inside of the first wall of diapers so that both walls are touching. You will now have the shape of the diaper bassinet.

    • 5). Fold a burp blanket or baby towel in a rectangle so that it will fit neatly inside the middle of the diaper bassinet. Place the folded blanket inside the bassinet. Smooth out the fabric with your hand.

    • 6). Wrap a thick ribbon around the outside of the bassinet, placing it over the visible rubber bands that were used to hold each rolled diaper together. Use double-sided tape to hold the ribbon to the diapers. Tie a bow in the front of the bassinet.
