- 1). Unwind some of the cotton thread from the skein and string on your beads. Ensure that you have enough beads to complete one side of the scarf.
- 2). Create a slipknot with the end of your cotton thread. Slip it onto the end of your crochet needle. Make a single crochet stitch at the corner of the edge you want to fringe, in the knitted stitch. Slide some beads up the thread, all the way to your needle. It doesn't matter how many beads you use as long as you use the same number of beads each time.
- 3). Make another single crochet in the next knitted stitch or row, grabbing the thread after the beads and being careful not to pull the beaded part through the end of the scarf. Continue doing this until you reach the other corner or go all the way around the scarf, depending on your preference.
- 4). Cut a tail of 2-3 inches and weave in the ends. Repeat the process for the other edge of the scarf, if desired.
