Plastic Canvas

• Use a piece of plastic canvas to create a strong holder for multiple toothbrushes. Roll the plastic canvas into a cylinder and use yarn threaded together using a large-eyed needle to hold the cylinder together. Cut another piece of plastic canvas into a circle and use more yarn to hold the bottom on the cylinder. Use yarn to make shapes on the plastic canvas. Use these designs both to personalize your holder and to weigh down the canvas so it will not tip over when toothbrushes are placed inside. Cut another circle out of canvas and cut multiple holes into it. Attach it to the top of the holder with more yarn.
  
  

Toothpaste Tube Holder

• Use empty toothpaste tubes to form a sturdy and unusual holder for multiple toothbrushes. Gather five empty tubes of the same brand and cut them open along the seam and across the bottom. Cut four tubes into 3.5 by 4.5 inch rectangles and the other tube into a 3.5 by 3.5 inch square. Fold and tape down the top 1/4-inch of the side tubes. Punch holes every 1/2-inch on the three unfolded sides of the rectangles and on all four sides of the square. Punch another hole in the center of the square for water drainage. Sew the pieces together using yarn, and it is ready to be used.
  
  

Polymer Clay Holder

• A waterproof toothbrush holder can be made from inexpensive polymer clay. Use clay that matches the color scheme of your bathroom. If you wish to use more than one color, marble them together by folding them together and rolling out the clay with a rolling pin. Sculpt the clay into a pillar and use a dowel rod slightly thicker than your toothbrushes to punch holes into the top of the holder before baking the clay in the oven to harden it. It is ready to hold toothbrushes once it is cool.
  
  

Yogurt Cup Holder

• Recycle old yogurt cups into a holder for your family's toothbrushes. Glue two cups together so that the holes on top are together. Wrap scrapbook or construction paper around the cups and cover it with packaging tape or laminating film to keep the paper from being damaged by water. Cut the bottom of the top yogurt cut off so that you can see the cavity in the cups. Weigh the cups down so they won't tip by pouring paint into the bottom of the cup and allowing it to dry. You could also use clay or a sponge that will soak up excess water from the toothbrushes.
