- 1). Locate the remote code for your DVD player on the DirecTV Remote Control Code Lookup page. Type the brand and model number in the boxes provided and click the "Search" button.
- 2). Turn on your DVD player.
- 3). Push the slider switch to "AV1" or "AV2."
- 4). Press the "Mute" and "Select" buttons at the same time. Hold them down until the light under the "AV1" or "AV2" flashes two times. Release the buttons.
- 5). Type in the remote code using the numbers on the keypad. The LED under "AV1" or "AV2" will flash green.
- 6). Test the remote by pressing the "Power" button. The DVD player should turn off.
