Dog Training - 5 Useful Tips If You Have Trouble Training Your Pooch!

Typically, dogs are inherently predisposed to learning new rules at an early age and usually, most of them are open to learning basic obedience training if the master is in control of the situation.
You must also be mentally prepared to face some amount of frustration when your dog just won't seem to be in the mood for training school programs, so do not hesitate to reach outside sources for help with training your furry friend.
There are many doggy daycare centers and kennel facilities that have trainers and staff, besides volunteers coming in that have the knowledge of getting doggies to learn to follow commands and display proper behavior.
Sometimes referred to as dog boot camps, these centers are ideal for enrolling your pampered pooch into their week to month-long pet care training programs that run along the similar lines of a structured daycare facility for children.
Normally, what happens at these dog training schools is that each dog is handed in the care and supervision of a particular trainer for a couple of hours daily and taught simple commands they must learn to follow; they are also taught to un-learn any undesirable behavior such as snapping or biting.
1.
Once the basics of obedience training such as responding to prompts of 'sit,' 'come,' 'fetch,' have been taught to the dog, the trainer will move to the next grade of training i.
e.
advanced dog obedience training, such as learning to play by themselves while the owner works in the background, without causing any destruction to things in the surrounding environment and more of grooming is emphasized on.
So, the dogs learn to adapt to the regular grooming routine with ears, eyes nails being cleaned and getting a regular wash and brushing of coats regime; it thus, becomes easier for the dog-owner to follow this pattern with their pet once it has been established by the trainer at obedience school.
2.
There are more sophisticated dog care facilities that provide for a host of exclusive and pampering (read salon-like) treatment for the pets, but these are costly, so not within reach for every dog-owner.
However, these of course, are far from boot-camps as one would imagine the training centers for dog obedience training as being.
3.
Those dogs that have an 'attitude' may be assigned to a group of professional dog trainers if they are displaying signs of not following even the most basic commands and for such pets, it may take several hours daily and assorted techniques and methods required in the obedience program for any results to show.
One workable method is undoubtedly the reward-punishment one, but other schools prefer only positive reinforcement techniques - so go with a school that is on your wave-length and you are sure to have a doggy that wows everyone with his smart training and cutesy behavior learned at dog obedience camp.
4.
You can choose from a day-boarding facility for dog obedience training for your pet or leave him for a few weeks to stay over the nights as well at the camp, depending on your situation and the cost of training you are willing to incur: however, do check out the facilities for yourself so you know they are genuine and not simply out there to rook you! 5.
Observe the training staff at work and if excessive force is being used, do not be in a hurry to place your dog there; also, check for cleanliness of sleeping quarters for your dog, nutritional meals, grooming and play equipment safety besides the credentials of the staff so you know Fido is in good hands!
