- 1). Lay two of the 5-foot-long boards side by side, 2 feet apart, with the 2-inch width to the floor. Place one of the 2-foot-long boards on top of the boards and line up to the edge of the ends of the boards with the 4-inch width down. Nail the board to the two longer ones and do the same on the opposite end.
- 2). Repeat with the next two 5-foot boards and the other 2-foot boards. These rectangular frames are the sides of the firewood rack.
- 3). Stand the frames up on their ends, approximately 5 feet apart with the attached 2-foot boards facing in.
- 4). Place a 5-foot board against the base of the frames on each side with the 4-inch width against the frame. Line up the ends of the boards with the edge of the frame, keeping the 2-foot boards inside the rack. Nail in place.
- 5). To finish, set the last 5-foot board lined up at the top edge of one side of the rack and nail to secure. The side with the last board is the back of the rack. Move the firewood rack to a convenient location.
