- 1). Start Internet Explorer by double-clicking its icon on your desktop. If there is no icon on your desktop, click the "Start" menu in the lower left corner of your desktop and you will find Internet Explorer in the list of "All Programs." Wait for the program to start.
- 2). Press the "F11" key, located at the top of your keyboard. When you do, the address bar will disappear from Internet Explorer, giving you more vertical space to use while reading webpages.
- 3). Move your mouse cursor to the top of the browser window and the address bar will reappear. Moving your mouse cursor away from the top will cause the address bar to disappear once again.
- 4). Press the "F11" key again to replace the address bar at the top of the window.
