- 1). Open a Command Prompt window. The Command Prompt window will be found under the "Accessories" section of the "Start" menu.
- 2). Type the command "cd C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\bin" to navigate to the Apache installation directory. If you installed Apache in another directory, type the correct directory path after "cd" in the command.
- 3). Type the command "apache -k uninstall" to uninstall the Apache service.
- 4). Type the command "exit" to close the Command Prompt window.
- 5). Open "Windows Services," which is found under the "Administrator Tasks" section of the Control Panel.
- 6). Check that "Apache2" is no longer listed as a service.
- 7). Double-click on the "Add/Remove Programs" utility in the Control Panel.
- 8). Click the "Remove" button next to the "Apache HTTP Server" entry.
