- 1). Open the CursorWorkshop application.
- 2). Click the "File" option on the top navigation bar and click "Open."
- 3). Navigate to and click on the image you want to use for the cursor. Click the "Open" button. The image opens in the Document Window.
- 4). Click the "Selection" tool in the upper left corner of the Tools palette, then select the portion of the image to use as the cursor.
- 5). Click the "Image" option on the top navigation bar, then click "Create New Cursor from Selection." The New Cursor from Image window opens with a series of variations of the image.
- 6). Type a name for the new cursor in the "Project Name" input box.
- 7). Uncheck the check boxes in front of the unwanted image variations.
- 8). Click the "OK" button. The cursor is created with the selected image variations. The cursor is created in the Cursor drawing grid.
- 9). Click the first entry in the left navigation panel. This entry represents the first image in the image variations. A "hot spot" appears, blinking white to black. If you do not see the hot spot, hold down the "Ctrl" key and press "K" to display it.

Click the "Draw" icon on the top navigation bar, then click "Set Cursor Hot Spot." Click on the image. The hot spot flashes a few times and then stops. The hot spot is now set on the image. - 11
Click the "Save" icon on the top navigation bar. The cursor file is saved with a CUR extension, and with the same name as your project name.
