How to Make a CUR File

    • 1). Open the CursorWorkshop application.

    • 2). Click the "File" option on the top navigation bar and click "Open."

    • 3). Navigate to and click on the image you want to use for the cursor. Click the "Open" button. The image opens in the Document Window.

    • 4). Click the "Selection" tool in the upper left corner of the Tools palette, then select the portion of the image to use as the cursor.

    • 5). Click the "Image" option on the top navigation bar, then click "Create New Cursor from Selection."  The New Cursor from Image window opens with a series of variations of the image.

    • 6). Type a name for the new cursor in the "Project Name" input box.

    • 7). Uncheck the check boxes in front of the unwanted image variations.

    • 8). Click the "OK" button. The cursor is created with the selected image variations. The cursor is created in the Cursor drawing grid.

    • 9). Click the first entry in the left navigation panel. This entry represents the first image in the image variations. A "hot spot" appears, blinking white to black. If you do not see the hot spot, hold down the "Ctrl" key and press "K" to display it.
