This sci-fi film is the sequel to Tron (1982), in which software engineer Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) got transported into a digital world and, with the help of a security program named Tron (Bruce Boxleitner), defeated the master control program. Bridges and Boxleitner return for Tron: Legacy, but the hero in the new movie is Kevin's son Sam (Garrett Hedlund).
This time around, Sam goes into a digital world to rescue his father, who is trapped there for 20 years. (Bridges is digitally de-aged for some scenes.) The film is mostly about action sequences, special effects and music by Daft Punk.
