Christians, you maybe wondering why we feel that sounding the warning bell is necessary at this time.
It is because of the recurrence of the things we need not do.
Instead of taking our faith in our hands we allow jitters to swallow us up and get buckled under the belief that God does not perform miracles any longer.
What this sort of approach can get us to engage in is to make us to begin to ignore the New Testament's promise.
And it makes no sense to do so because it is the course for which the precious blood of the Lamb was shed.
We move hither and thither seeking cover where it is not, thus we give ourselves away to denominational solidarity which is badly divisive to the body of Christ rather than uniting it.
We are meant to complement one another.
Why then should our actions be different than they are supposed to be? Don't be deceived, Christianity isn't about avoiding things and people.
Nor is it for us to apotheosize our worth.
Consequently, the effects of what we do yield us the loss of happiness and joy as our firmness in Christ cannot be realized by way of dramatized performance, precepts merely.
Thus in the full glare of our consciousness appears a mounting number of leaders who surprisingly drop the need to demonstrate servant-hood and don't remember that the Lord Jesus washed the feet of those to whom He was, and still stands superior.
He chose to use a donkey where there were the best breeds of horses that could better dignify His exalted position.
The use of their financial wealth is turned on itself; they neglect to invest their mission to reach the lost for Christ and care for the needy; they acquire and amass and spend on themselves like no man needs care - in a manner that best represents the fact that they've come to conquer all for themselves.
We get upset to see someone, employ modern methods to gain audience of our younger generation whose full potential will be realized in time to come.
We must engage and confront the culture rather than hide away from its hideous view.
We are all too often deeply ready to just sit in till Jesus returns, little realizing that our commission entails us to get soaked in serious praying for our brethren who're living on the threshold of martyrdom.
"Is it that it is impossible for us to have the martyrs' kind of zeal and faith?" we ask.
I guess not.
We can out perform the feat of the martyrs if only our chief wish isn't to reverse the Christian order.
It's time we started doing what choice we signed up for.
