There were no apostles as Jesus Christ was the invention of Emperor Constantine, nominated in Revelation 13:13-18 as the one bearing the number 666.
He established the Catholic Church in 325 AD in the year following the murder of his eldest son, Crispus, on his orders.
His goal was sole rule and supreme power.
He saw his way of achieving this by setting up a religious parliament to dominate people who were rebelling against Rome but who worshiped the gods.
The Council of Nicaea was a sham to fulfill this mission.
It comprised bishops called from all corners of the empire and all knew only one chief god, the sun.
The different forms of worship meant there was no unity and Constantine saw that by establishing a common direction and a prophet who could supposedly speak for the Sun he would achieve the required results.
The name of the sun was Mari in the east and he set it as the Mother of God instead of the usual Mother God.
It remained the most worshiped idol of the religion.
By putting it in such a position it was easier to win over the people who were already its loyal followers.
Towards the end of the 4th CAD Jerome was appointed to compile the New Testament to add credibility to the conspiracy that was in place.
He engaged Augustine Hippo as his cohort and together they compiled the book.
Jerome obviously wrote Matthew as it contains church laws that he introduced.
It is highly likely that Augustine wrote Luke.
Jerome translated the Septuagint and added to publish the first complete bible as the Vulgate.
' Much has been added to it since by men engaged by the Church to enhance it.
