Dalat Flower Festival took place in Dalat every two years in Spring. Dalat is homeland of Flowers or the festival became an international event. The organizing committee had invited others famous flower from other countries such as Japan, the Netherlands, the U.S. and China.

There were also "flower islands" and "flower towers" and a 108m in long flower dragon next to Xuan Huong Lake or Xuan Huong Lake at the center of Da Lat was the focal point of the festival.

The big opening ceremony was meaningful cultural performances to honor growers and floriculture.
During the first day of the festival, there is four Vietnamese records were made, they are the biggest flower statue of the Goddess of Mercy, the first Vietnamese person to make scented fresh flowers, the biggest scented fresh picture, and the biggest flower Tortoise Tower.
The festival was an opportunity for traders; farmers stay together and share knowledge and experiences.
The organizers also launched a campaign to plant more flowers, trees and ornamental plants throughout the city, and Dalat was truly in full bloom come January.
Besides the layout of Dalat's flowers there was an exposition on ornamental plants, a arranging contest, a trade fair and a scientific workshop entitled 'enhancing competitiveness and developing the flower industry'.

An international trade with over 400 stalls featuring goods from Vietnam, Japan, China, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia was organized at the same time as the festival.
The every two years flower festival was first organized in 2005 and had since attracted thousands of local and foreign tourists.
The four-day flower festival in the Central Highlands city of Da Lat concluded last year with 10 new Vietnam's records. The records included the largest tower, the longest dragons, the largest cup and the largest picture all made of flowers. The festival attract 85 businesses and flower and plant associations from all over the country as well as abroad with more than 43,000 visitors were said to come to the festival.
