- 1). Turn on your BlackBerry smartphone and use the Setup Wizard program, which is a step-by-step process to learn how to effectively use your BlackBerry. It will help you to set up your wireless connections, your Bluetooth connections and your email addresses. Your Setup Wizard should start up the very first time that you turn on your mobile device. If it doesn't appear automatically on your screen, click the Setup Wizard icon on your home screen or click the Setup icon to access the Setup Wizard.
- 2). Synchronize your calendar and your contact list to your wireless network. To do this, click the menu key within one of your organizer tasks on your BlackBerry and then click "Options." Click "Calendar" to synchronize your calendar entries and then select "Yes" for wireless synchronization. Press the menu key and then press "Save." You can also synchronize your calender and contacts with a Google account (see Resources).
- 3). Receive your location through BlackBerry GPS. To receive your location, click the "Options" icon and then click "Advanced Options." Click the "GPS" icon and then click the "Menu" key and then click "Refresh GPS."
- 4). Take a photo with your BlackBerry device. Click the camera icon on your home screen and then click the convenience key located in the middle of your phone. To record a video on your BlackBerry device, click the media icon on your home screen and then click "video camera." Click the "record" icon or the convenience key to start recording.
