My wedding is only 6 months away and the preparations are coming together nicely. The photographer was booked a few weeks ago, and the diet is going well, I only wish my teeth were whiter€¦ Too much coffee and red wine over the past twenty five years I think.
Anyway, I have been doing a bit of investigating around teeth whitening and I have decided that I will get them whitened, plus the other half (Phil) has said that he does not want to look like the odd one out on the wedding photographs and he would like his teeth whitening too. After all, the photo will be on our wall for ever, so it makes sense that we both have lovely matching white smiles as it might look a little odd if one of us has perfect teeth and the other one has not. I might even convince the bridesmaids and the best man to get theirs done too, or is that a bit cheeky?
There is quite a bit of information about teeth whitening available without having to visit the dentist, the wedding magazines are full of it and of course you can get loads of info from the internet. It seems that teeth whitening is very popular and is within most peoples budgets. You can even buy home kits and there are quite a few whitening toothpastes on the market which are supposed to really work too.
Well, Phil and I agreed that we would approach the teeth whitening thing with the bridesmaids and best man next weekend, when we are all meeting up for a big weekend away. Most of them have reasonably white teeth, but the best man's teeth are quite stained€¦ I must admit I am a bit nervous about asking him to consider getting his teeth whitened as he is quite sensitive. But it's important to both Phil and I that the day goes well and that the wedding party looks their best€¦ Unfortunately I drew the short straw and I had to tell the best man that we wanted him to get his teeth whitened. I was dreading telling him, so I started by telling him that we were having it done. He laughed at me and said that it was for celebrities with loads of money. I explained to him that that's not the case and that we were going to try using teeth whitening tooth paste.
Anyway after about half an hour of explaining the benefits and how inexpensive it can be he seemed to be warming to the idea and by the end of the weekend we had packed him off with a tube of whitening toothpaste. Which he must have used as his teeth improved and we all looked amazing on our wedding day!
