Treehouse Villas in Disney

    Villa Description

    • Elevated 10 feet above the ground, each of the 60 octagonal, private, standalone structures provides views of the Sassagoula River and surrounding forested glens. The Treehouse Villas are designed to combine both comfort and luxury with a dash of childhood nostalgia. All "cabin casual" villas can accommodate up to nine people and feature three bedrooms and two baths with granite counters, a fully-equipped open kitchen with an island that seats three and an additional dining table for six. Modern luxuries include partial cathedral ceilings, flat-screen televisions in the living room and each bedroom and a barbecue grill.

    Resort Services and Amenities

    • In addition to a separate pool area for the Treehouse Villas, guests are welcome to all that the Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa has to offer. Villa guests can relax in the sauna, work out at the health club, get a massage at the award-winning spa or go for a swim in the 161,000-gallon High Rock Spring Pool, which features decorative rock work, cascading water and a water slide. Guests can also take advantage of the resort's tennis courts, playground, bicycle rental and boat transportation to and from the Downtown Disney area. Golfers can enjoy teeing off at the nearby Buena Vista Golf Course, followed by American fare at the Turf Club Bar and Grill.

Each villa includes kitchenware and dishes, high-speed Internet, hairdryers, voice mail, a safe, an iron and ironing board and a vacuum. Guests can also request babysitting, laundry services, wake-up calls and pizza delivery.

    History

    • The original Treehouse Villas accommodated Disney World guests from 1975 to 2002. Upon their closure, the villas were in need of an update and repairs, but they stood vacant for many years until it was announced in 2008 that the villas would re-open in the summer of 2009. During the construction process, Disney worked to lessen the environmental footprint of the original villas. Encroachment on the surrounding wetlands was reduced by 70 percent for each site.

    Villa Rates

    • Disney Vacation Club members can use Vacation Points toward their stay. As of 2010, the rate for a Treehouse Villa begins at $555 per night and increases during holiday or peak seasons.
