Delicious Garlic Juice Recipe for a Natural Antibiotic

If you've long wanted to use raw garlic for all it's proven medicinal qualities but like me you just can't stand the taste, I finally found a great tasting recipe thanks to the good folks at Juicers Best!

Latest Research

Many of the ancient medicinal uses of garlic have been proved true by recent scientific research. Garlic contains a form of penicillin that does not develop antibodies, thus making it a natural antibiotic. Recent research from Great Britain shows that garlic reduces the risk of stomach and colon cancers. Another study has confirmed the reduced incidence of cancer among people who regularly eat garlic. Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) was shown to be reduced in those who consumed garlic on a regular basis, according to another study.

Brief History

Garlic is a member of the Allium family that includes onion and leek. It’s been used medicinally for thousands of years, dating as far back as the ancient Egyptians and Syrians. The early Greeks and Romans are believed to have consumed garlic to increase strength and endurance, and fight poor digestion and parasites. For centuries in Indian and Chinese medicine garlic has been used to treat colds, coughs and infections. Various forms of wild garlic grow in all parts of the world. (1)

Amazing Benefits

Garlic ranks among the ‘super foods.’ This small, pungent herb is abundantly rich in vitamins and minerals, and sulfur-containing compounds including, in particular, allicin which has antibiotic, anti-cancer, antioxidant and immune-boosting properties. It’s low in calories with no cholesterol. It’s rich in vitamins C and B6 and the minerals calcium, iron, selenium, potassium, manganese, magnesium, zinc and copper.
