Are you in a relationship where you are the one with OCD? Do you really want to find help that will be able to guide you so that you don't ruin that relationship? Well, you have come to the right place! Here is what you do.
You make sure that you are honest with your significant other and tell them that you are dealing with OCD and that you are serious about beating it.
Tell them that you don't want them to enable you and tell them not to help you perform rituals.
When you do this, tell them also that you would prefer if they were there for you emotionally telling you that you can do it and that they believe in you.
This should really help you get over this OCD.
Ask them to help you stop performing rituals and not just stand there and watch you do them.
That way they can tell you later on if you give them a hard time that you asked them to stop you from doing rituals.
Make sure that you don't give them a hard time as they are one of the only people that you've got that can really help you, so don't turn your back on those that really care.
Take action: What you need to do is to have proper communication with your significant other and tell them exactly what kind of OCD you have and try to do everything you can to get over it.
Become a team with your significant other and have them help you to stop performing rituals.
