How to Force a Samsung TV to Switch to PC

    • 1). Make note of the input that you are using to connect your computer to your Samsung TV. Most computers will connect using an HDMI port or the PC-IN port.

    • 2). Check the cables to make sure that they are secure and make sure that your PC is turned on. If the Samsung television is not receiving a signal, you may not be able to force it onto that input.

    • 3). Press the "Menu" button on the TV or the remote control. Use the down arrow to scroll to "Input" and press "Enter."

    • 4). Press "Enter" to select the first option on the new menu, "Source List."

    • 5). Use the down arrow to scroll through the available inputs until you find the one for your computer. The input that you want to select will be based on the port that you used to connect the computer to the Samsung TV. If you used the "PC-IN" port, scroll to the "PC" option and press "Enter." If you used an HDMI cable to connect the computer, then scroll to the correct HDMI option, either HDMI 1, HDMI 2 or HDMI 3, and press "Enter."
