How to Change Your Craftsman Lawnmower Oil

    • 1). Set the mower on a flat surface.

    • 2). Tip the mower on its side with the spark plug facing up.

    • 3). Place an oil pan under the dipstick.

    • 4). Pull the dipstick out of the engine.

    • 5). Drain all of the oil into the pan, then set the mower back down on all four wheels.

    • 6). Unscrew the yellow refill cap in the top of the engine. Fill the tank with 21 ounces of SAE 30 oil, the recommended oil weight for Craftsman mowers.
