World's Longest Fingernails Are Nearly 20 Feet Long

Think your nails are long? Chris 'The Dutchess' Walton hasn't trimmed hers in 18 years.

Her thumbnail measures nearly three feet long, and the nail on the middle finger of her left hand is 22 inches.

Add 'em all up, and you've nearly 20 feet of fingernails -- 19 feet, 9 inches long -- putting her into the 2012 edition of Guinness World Records.

Walton, 45, is a Vegas singer with five kids and three grandchildren -- and, I assume, a lot of nail polish.

She told me she can't reach into her own pockets and needs buttons or zippers on her jacket sleeves. She also needs an escort in crowds to make sure she doesn't bump into anyone or anything that could damage her nails.

"They're kind of like a body part that I've lived with for years," she told me at The Huffington Post. "I don't know what I would do without them. I've adjusted the way I've lived for so long, it would be hard to go back."

She also says there's no particular secret to growing long nails.

"I eat a lot of candy," she said. "And I have a lot of patience."

The Human Pincushion: German Man Has 453 Piercings

I'd hate to be behind this guy in line at airport security.

Rolf Buchholz, of Dortmund, Germany, is a human pincushion -- he has 453 studs and rings scattered across his body.

You can see many of them right here on his face -- including 94 around his lips, 25 in his eyebrows and 8 nose rings.

But more than half of his many piercings are down south. Way down south in the you-know-where.

All told, he's got 278 piercings in and around his genitals, helping to make him the 2012 Guinness World Record holder for most pierced man on the planet.

That's a lot of tongue.
Chanel Tapper, a Houston student originally from Los Angeles, has a tongue that measures 3.8 inches long -- just .06 inches short of the world record held by Britain's Stephen Taylor.

But Tapper's tongue is good enough for the longest in the United States -- and longest female tongue in the world.

Tapper says she first became aware of her super-long tongue when she was 8 and posed for Halloween photos with friends and they all stuck out their tongues.

When the photo was developed, she noticed hers was longer than all the others.

Now, that tongue has catapulted her into the 2012 edition of Guinness World Records.

She says the reaction to her tongue is... well... in many cases it's what you might expect.

"Most guys that know or already see it automatically have their mind in the gutter, and so do some females," she told Guinness World Records. "I don't have a boyfriend, but the last guy I dated didn't make it that big of a deal, and I really liked him for that."

I had half a mustache once -- but I can't imagine what it would be like to have a beard like this.

Canada's Sarwan Singh entered the 2012 edition of Guinness World Records with his 7-foot-9 beard.

That's longer than Shaquille O'Neal is tall: The hoops legend is 7-foot-1.

It's also nearly as tall as 8-foot-3 Sultan Kösen, the world's tallest man.

Singh, head priest at Guru Nanak Sikh Temple in Surrey, Canada, says his beard isn't a talent.

"It's a gift from God," he said according the Canadian Press.

The Sikh faith forbids haircuts, so many men who follow the religion have long beards -- but Singh's whiskers landed him a spot in the 2012 edition of Guinness World Records.

The CP says Singh has called his beard his favorite body part, and usually rolls it up or keeps it over his shoulder to prevent it from dragging on the floor.
