- 1). Select a theme for the bathroom. This will depend on the style of black and white shower curtain. If the shower curtain is simple and elegant, think about a Parisian chic theme. If the shower curtain is black and white polka dots, you could use a more whimsical theme.
- 2). Add towels and rugs that coordinate with the shower curtain. While the towels and rugs don't need to exactly match the shower curtain, they should coordinate. If, for example, you have a black shower curtain with white polka dots, you may not want to use black towels as that may be too overwhelming. In this case, you may want to use white towels but add polka dot accents in other places. If the shower curtain is a zebra print, you could use white towels with zebra print trim.
- 3). Add an accent color. While some people may prefer to keep the entire bathroom black and white, others may choose to add an accent color. Pink is a nice accent color for a French theme. For someone going for a bold look, red really makes the bathroom stand out.
- 4). Display complementary artwork. Play up the theme of the shower curtain in the artwork. If the shower curtain has a Parisian street image, add black and white photos of the Eiffel Tower or Parisian cafés.
- 5). Add accessories. Accessories finish the look of the bathroom. If you have a black and white polka dot shower curtain, tie a polka dot ribbon around a white candle and place it on a shelf. If you have a Parisian theme, use French lotions and soaps.
