How Do I Turn on the Beeping Sound on the Volume for an HP Computer?

    Turn On Sound from Control Panel

    • 1). Click “Start” and then click “Control Panel.”

    • 2). Click “Hardware and Sound" and then click “Adjust Sound Volume” under the “Sound” category heading. The volume mixer box will open.

    • 3). Click each speaker button to toggle the sound on or off for that device. Listed devices include Speakers and Applications (Windows Sounds). Make sure both of these options are in the “On” position. The beeping sound on the HP will be enabled when both of these options are on.

    • 4). Click the “X” to close the volume mixer window.

    Turn On Sound from the Speaker Icon in the System Tray

    • 1). Click on the “Speaker” icon in the System Tray. The System Tray is located in the bottom right corner of the Windows desktop. If the sound is turned off, a red circle with a line will appear over the speaker icon. The speaker control will open.

    • 2). Click the speaker button to toggle between “Speaker Off” and “Speaker On.” When the red circle with the line disappears, the speakers are turned on.

    • 3). Click off the speaker control (click on the desktop) to close the control.
