How to Troubleshoot Your Dell Notebook With a Projector

    • 1). Power on both the Dell notebook and the projector. You cannot view the computer programming on the projector screen if the notebook and the projector are not powered on.

    • 2). Check the cable connection running from the Dell notebook to the projector. If the connection cable is not completely inserted into both ports, the video signal is not going to reach the projector.

    • 3). Select the "VGA" cable connection on the projector menu. The video from the laptop is not going to to be displayed if the input option is not set to VGA.

    • 4). Look over the VGA cable for any damaged areas. The video signal may not reach the digital projector if the cable has scratches or is missing connection pins.
