MAHARAJA PALACE
There were in total five temples. The first two temples were of the same god. The second temple had beautiful yellow carvings of sea sandstone. This stone is made of the sea creatures. There were 6,66,666 idols of Jain Gods. There were carvings of walls between them. There were in total twenty four carvings of Lord Indra and their companions. The carivngs were looking more beautiful as they were carvings of ladies. The other isde of the wall was also admirable nad it was same too but the differnce was that , that this time Lord Ganesha was also accompanying them. When we went into the third temple we couldn't find anything . We just saw the walls and no idols inside it . Then the guide told us that the cruel king Muhammad Ghori had stolen the idol and took it through the secret way. Presently the idol is inside a closed door which is guarded by "Shree Bhairon Singh Ji". This Maharaja palace was a palace of victory as no king could ever defeat it because of the astounding construction.
DESERT SAFARI
We went into the desert and enjoyed by sitting on the beautiful hump of the camel as in we did camel riding. the camel was six point ten feet tall. as it was moving it seemed it was dancing by moving his abdomin, left- right. It seemed that he was intending to make us fall down. When it was sitting down to make us stand it gave a big shock. That could make any person faint. This is the reason why I am scared to sit on the camel's back. we were roaming on the hot sand of the Thar Desert waiting for the sun sandunes to come but unfortunately it didn't appear. We saw the India - Pakistan border. When the sun was about to set then we all had started for our journey towards the camp. After reaching the camp a group of singers sang a welcome song for us and guess what the welcome song was - Nimbuda. They told that there is an intense story behind this song.Despite the oppressing heat, we were finding the story very interesting. The first person started by saying that there was a couple who was being married in the Thar Desert, the princess was sweating a lot so she asked her husband to get a lemon, but the husband made an excuse that the lemons would not have ripen because it was a two to three day journey. So the line "are kachcha kachcha chotta chotta laye do" expresses that after listening to her husband she said that get me an unripen lemon. This song represents a sweet fight between the newly married couple. The next programme was of dance. A a lady came and danced with swords in her hand . She had put seven plates on her head and danced. she also picked up a ring with her eyes.
FOSSIL PARK
Living organisms after biological death start to distinguish into simple chemical compounds. This opportunity of slow distinguish of hard parts is taken up by different natural processes of exchange of cell contents called petrification. The cell contents of trees are replaced by silica & other mineral compounds under steady pressure The original structure and compossition of the cell wall is retained. The important ones are covered. The trees have now changed into stones. The original organic part is thus fossilisedretaining its own taximonial structure. Fossilisation took place one hundred eighty million years ago. Whole forest containing huge trees was petrified (only in that geological era only non - flowering trees ). Therefore the wood fossils are considered to represent gynosperns like chir, deodaror red woods of Jurrassie age. Due to different hot and humid climate there was a luxuriant forest. Today this petrification is due to weathering of wind, water erosion. This was all that was written on the wall. My trip to Jaisalmer was really extremely!
