- 1). Consider painting one or two walls evergreen. Since evergreen is such a strong color, it is often best to keep the other walls a more neutral color, such as khaki.
- 2). Install an evergreen colored carpet. It'll act as a unifying element as you add contrasting colors to the room.
- 3). Look for evergreen window shades, either solid colored or with a pattern, such as stripes or floral. The shades will add green coloring to your windows and help pull the decor together.
- 4). Add visual interest and contrast to one of the evergreen walls by hanging a mirror and pictures in silver frames. For added chic, consider using black and white photos only.
- 5). Purchase accessories, such as throw blankets, with an evergreen print or a contrasting color like a deep violet. Use these items to break up the all-green look and add splashes of color to keep the space interesting.
- 6). Go for something other than green for your couch if you have green walls. A khaki slipcover is a good choice. Add green accents, such as blankets, if you still want some green on the couch.
- 7). Add throw pillows to the couch for extra flair. You'll want a variety, so make sure that no two pillows with the same pattern are positioned next to each other.
- 8). Place a coffee table in front of the couch. Display coffee table books featuring lush green countrysides, green candles and plants like African violets, which offer both the deep green and contrasting purples.
- 9). Add accessories like dried flowers to the room. They look great in tall vases next to a green wall or in between two chairs, particularly if they are a different color than the item they're positioned next to. This adds focal points to the room.

Consider investing in multiple wooden chairs of different styles to break things up a bit. Arrange them against a wall with a few throw blankets on them, or around a green topped table--perfect for playing cards with visiting friends.
