- 1). Peer under the faucet and loosen the screw with a hex wrench. Take the tap off the copper pipe that sticks out from the wall.
- 2). Grab the faucet in the center with your hands and rotate in a counter-clockwise position. If the spout is not coming off, cover the faucet with a cloth to prevent damage and remove with Channel lock or slip-joint pliers.
- 3). Push the new faucet into place on the end of the copper pipe. Secure the set screw with a hex wrench. Make sure the spout is tight.
- 1). Wrap the spout with a cloth to prevent damage and remove it by twisting it in a counter-clockwise direction with pliers.
- 2). Slide a new spout onto the pipe protruding from the wall. Make sure it is straight and aligned before you secure it.
- 3). Connect the new screw-on spout. Cover the spout with a cloth to prevent damage and wrap the teeth of the pliers and twist in a clockwise direction until the faucet is tight.
