Nissan to Launch new Sports Models – 370Z in India
Nissan will launch its new sports model 370Z in India today. The iconic sports car model will be officially unveiled in Mumbai at Pawan Hans, Juhu Flying Club. Nissan India’s Managing Director and CEO, Kiminobu Tokuyama will officially unveil the car for the Indian customers. “We plan to launch our iconic 370Z sports car on January 20 at Mumbai,” a company official said. However, he declined provide further details.
Nissan will import the new 370Z model in India as a completely built unit similarly like its other premium models like X-Trail and SUV Murano. This will be the third model from Nissan product portfolio in India. Nissan is also planning to launch its new hatchback model Nissan Micra in the country which has been specifically developed for the emerging markets.
The new 370Z model coming to India today has a 5” shorter wheelbase and is built on the same platform at the 350Z. Currently the international model features 3.7L V6 engine that delivers a power of 332bhp @ 7000 rpm and 375NM of torque @ 5200rpm. This will be the third super-performance sports model in the country after Audi R8 and BMW Z4 Roadster which were launched last year.
The new 370Z sports model is expected to carry a price tag of Rs 50 lakh or more. More details, technical specifications and the final price of the car will be available only after the car is finally launched today.
