The Pirates of Sebago Family Weekend takes place each June and is one of the resort's most popular theme weekends. It features pirate cruises on Sebago Lake aboard the facility's own Sebago Princess double-decker boat, treasure hunts, a pirate costume contest and even a lobster dinner.

Golf vacation packages of varying durations depending on the season are available, too, and special golf rates are always extended to resort guests.

Much like a family campground, Point Sebago Resort also has an arcade and its own camp store, where prices are surprisingly reasonable considering the captive audience. Grab coffee and pastries in the a.m., or pick up a block of cheese and some crackers to savor after the kids are tucked into bed.

You may just find that you join the ranks of "happy campers" who book their Point Sebago stay for the following year as they're checking out.
