- 1). Place loops going across your loom vertically by hooking one end of the loop on a peg at the top of the loom, pulling it down and hooking the other end of that loop on the opposing peg of the loom. Do this all the way across the loom for every pair of pegs.
- 2). Hook one end of a loop on the top right-hand peg of the loom. Weave that loop over and under the vertical loops on the loop until you reach the top left peg. Hook the other end of the loop on this peg. Continue weaving loops across the loom in this manner. Make the first weave of the first loop go over the first vertical loop. Make the first weave of the second loop go under the first vertical loop. Continue alternating the weave pattern in this manner.
- 3). Stick your crochet hook through the loop hooked on the top left-hand peg.
- 4). Grab the loop hooked on the top peg farthest to the left and pull it through the top left loop while simultaneously pushing the hook through the left-most top loop. Continue hooking and pulling your way around the loop in this manner.
- 5). Leave the last loop as a loop for hanging up your potholder. The tightness of the potholder loops will keep this last loop from unraveling the whole holder.
