Camping in Comfort

Some people would suggest that those two words don't fit in a sentence together.
Camping and comfort simply don't go together, or do they? In my experience, if you know what to take, how to use it and you are willing to take a little bit more time to do what you need to then Camping can be very much comfortable, if not even luxurious.
Those who stereotype it as being uncomfortable and difficult are usually the ones who sleep on 10 dollar mattresses, with 30 dollar sleeping bags and no idea of what to do when camping! The fact is, if you are willing to do the research and gain a bit of knowledge about camping you can go on a trip that will be just as comfortably as if you were at home.
Sure, it might not be as easy as when you are at home, but it doesn't have to be uncomfortable.
By having a good quality fridge or ice chest with you fresh food is no longer an issue.
By packing the right lighting and knowing how to use it correctly you can ensure that you have no problems cooking dinner, or reading a book into the night.
A good stove makes all of the difference too.
If you try to cook on the cheapest stove that your camping store offers then of course you are going to get a biased version of camping.
Today, you can even take hot showers with you, portable toilets and a huge range of other luxuries that most people don't even know about! There is literally no reason why when you go camping you should be uncomfortable.
The problem with being uncomfortable is that you remember the feeling for many years to come, and it puts you off camping for ever.
Do yourself a favour and do a bit of research first.
Find the products that are worth buying, and get in there and get yourself some quality equipment.
Even try hiring- this is a great way to save some money without compromising on the quality of your camping gear.
Not everyone enjoys camping, but you can guarantee the trip will be considerably more enjoyable if you have the right gear.
I remember when I used to buy cheap gear - waking up freezing cold in the middle of winter and wondering why I ever went camping.
Now however, even when its 0 degrees I am warm, comfortable and happy to go camping any time!
