How to Build a Windows Vista Recovery Disk

    Create Vista Recovery Disk with Vista Service Pack 1

    • 1). Download and apply Vista Service Pack 1 to your Vista operating system. Reboot the computer.

    • 2). Click the Windows "Start" orb and then click "All Programs."

    • 3). Click "Maintenance" and then click "Create a Recovery Disc."

    • 4). Insert a blank CD or DVD.

    • 5). Click "Next." Follow the prompts to insert additional media, if needed.

    • 6). Click "Finish" when the disk is complete.

    Download Windows Vista Recovery Disk from Neosmart

    • 1). Open a Web browser and navigate to the Neosmart Vista Recovery Disk download page (see Resources).

    • 2). Click the correct version for your computer (32-bit or 64-bit).

    • 3). Click "Save" to save the ISO file to the hard drive.

    • 4). Use a disk burning application to burn the ISO image to a CD or DVD.
