- 1). Click on the Start button.
- 2). Click "Control Panel."
- 3). Click "Mouse."
- 4). Click on the tab marked "Buttons."
- 5). Click on the arrow next to the heading marked "Devices."
- 6). Click on the name of your touchpad in the dropdown list.
- 7). Click on the "Right-handed" or "Left-handed" options to configure your touchpad buttons.
- 8). Slide the bar under "Double Click Speed" to the left or right to adjust the double clicking speeds on your touchpad.
- 9). Click on the "Device Settings" tab. Click "Disable" if you wish to disable your touchpad. Click "Settings" to access more device settings.

Click on each option heading on the left-hand side of the screen that you wish to adjust. Most touchpads allow users to change the sensitivity, pointer behavior and scrolling options to their specifications. Change each setting accordingly. - 11
Click "Apply" when finished. Click "OK" to save the touchpad settings and exit the window.
