The term ‘child labour' is used for employment below a certain age, which is considered illegal by law and customs.The age of child labour is vary from country to country,govt. to govt. Child labour is a world phenomenon which is considered exploitative and illegal by many international organization.According to India survey, child labour means children under 15 year to do work to do work that is physically or mentally harmful and interrupt their education and social development. In the first half 19 centiry the factory act passed in britian the first general law against child labour.
Globally , 250 or more million children working in different sector. Rural area also included where 218 million{worldly} of child labour is present. Poverty, indebtness, cheaper labour, irreplaceable skills, vested interests of employers are the primary factorof child labour.But poverty and lack of education is main barrier/problem of children,which propell them towards the factories ,companies etc.Factories, companies invite a no. of disease, injuries, accident which is harmful to children.
In recent survey at the national level have demonstrated that a very high rate of the children are physically or fell ill, while working. These includes punctures,broken or complete loss of body parts,burns,skin disease ,eye and hearing impairment,respiratory and gastrointestinal illness, fever, headaches from excessive heats in the fields or in factories.A large majority of children has to be hospitalized.Typically, boys are more affected by injuries and illness as comparison to girls working.In agriculture sector(rural area) the child faces, the pesticides problem, lack of clean water, hand washing facilities, toilet problem as well as used a dangerous sharp tools machine.
Government organized or participate in solving this problem through annual world day against child labour around the world where different countries gives contribution inspite that the government need a more focus on this issue and try to root out this problem.In public point of view this problem is solve or reduce through;
1} Closing the factories
2} Educating the parents to be conscious about child educating
3} Collaborating with NGO's and association
4} Organise kitefest,soccerfest,cricketfest etc, which promote to stop child labour.
