The fact that the tournament was played at Albany's Times Union Center -- the Saints' home court, where they've won 38 straight games -- probably didn't hurt their chances. Their home winning streak is the second-longest active streak in Division I. (Kansas has won 59 straight home games.)
Big-conference schools will dread seeing the Saints in the first round of March Madness, as the Saints won their first-round games in 2008 (knocking out four seed Vanderbilt) and 2009 (beating eight seed Ohio State).
