How to Use an Eraser Wheel to Remove Auto Trim

    • 1). Gently peel away any excess trim adhesive from the area by hand. Do not pull too quickly, as this can sometimes pull the paint away from the vehicle body.

    • 2). Open the bit mount of a power drill and insert the shaft of an eraser wheel attachment. Tighten the chuck so the attachment is securely attached to the drill.

    • 3). Connect any batteries or plug in the power drill to a power outlet.

    • 4). Turn on the drill and keep the wheel spinning at a consistent speed. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for optimal wheel RPM.

    • 5). Press the surface of the spinning wheel attachment against the auto trim adhesive, sliding the wheel back and forth across the surface of the adhesive. Continue until the adhesive is fully removed.

    • 6). Wipe away any remaining adhesive with a water-moistened clean cloth.
